Welcome to One Yorùbá Girl Education (OYGE). By accessing our website and using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. General Overview
The terms “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to One Yorùbá Girl Education (OYGE). The term “Service” refers to our language tutoring, resource center, and physical/digital products. By using this site, you agree to these Terms of Service.
2. Product Sales (Physical & Digital)
- Accuracy: We strive for excellence in our resources. However, all products are provided “as is.”
- Shipping: For physical books, risk of loss passes to you upon delivery to the carrier. We are not responsible for delays caused by third-party shipping providers.
- Returns & Refunds:
- Physical Goods: Returns are accepted within 3 days of receipt if the item is in its original, unused condition.
- Digital Goods: Due to the nature of digital downloads, all sales of digital resources are final and non-refundable.
3. Educational Services & Tutoring
- Registration: Enrollment in OYGE (Adults) or YYC (Yorùbá Youngsters club) is complete only upon receipt of full payment.
- Attendance & Absences: Students must provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Failure to do so will result in a forfeited session with no refund.
- Make-up Classes: Eligibility for make-up sessions is subject to the specific policy outlined in your Welcome Packet.
- Code of Conduct: We reserve the right to terminate services without refund for students (or parents) who display harassing, discriminatory, or disruptive behaviour.
4. Intellectual Property (IP)
- Ownership: All content on this site, including physical and digital resources, worksheets, logos, and curriculum, is the property of OYGE and is protected by international copyright laws.
- Limited License: Purchase of a product or course grants you a single-user license for personal, non-commercial use. You may not redistribute, resell, or “leak” any OYGE materials.
5. Media Release & Marketing
By participating in our classes or submitting video homework, you grant OYGE a non-exclusive license to use snippets of audio/video for promotional and marketing purposes. You may opt out of this by contacting us in writing at learn@oneyorubagirl.com prior to your second class.
6. Professional Services (Translation, Subtitling, Voice-Overs)
- Scope of Work: Specific project terms, deadlines, and revisions will be governed by a separate Service Agreement provided at the time of booking.
- Payment: A 70% deposit is required to begin any linguistic or media project.
7. Limitation of Liability
OYGE shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of our services or the inability to use our products. We do not guarantee specific fluency results, as language acquisition depends on individual student effort.
8. Privacy Policy
Your use of our site is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We respect your data and will never sell your information to third parties.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Your continued use of the site following any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
