Let’s see how well you understand Yorùbá. No speaking or writing — only gestures!
Rules:
- There are two decks of cards for two levels.
- Teams may choose to play on any level.
- If stuck, a team can request a hint by saying “OLOBÓ”.
- The actor may then tell the category, point to an object, or make a simple sound (e.g., animal noise, wind blowing, etc.) to give a hint.
- Using a hint reduces the score to ½ point for that round.
In the case of no correct guesses, the opposing team may attempt the answer and win the point.
A Yorùbá Game of Charades (Level I & II) is suitable for intermediate to fluent speakers of the Yorùbá language.
